The Ruins of Azmar is a quiet peaceful place, but it's also rather spooky, seemed an appropriate place to have a few spooks; nothing too scary though.
As for the Maintainers Gateway I suppose I should really warn you that this is my biggest age too date. Palamary Bay was 42MB with 1528 objects, the Maintainers Gateway is 57MB with 3190 objects; not that you can see all objects in an age. It may be only one age but there are four distinctively different areas. You could say it's four ages all rolled into one; two small & two large. Five if you count the rotating Gahreesen top flip area as an age.

I'll just update the link to the my Meshes which now includes the Maintainers Gateway ones; 3d Max users seem to find them useful. OBJ Wavefront exports from Blender with UV mapping & textures, does this even load into Max I wonder..? Here is the link again...

The Path of the Lost Ages now has SDL states, switch cameras & some fixes. I will update this when I finish Western Teledahn.

Western Teledahn is just about complete now so I will post these images. I still have some fine tuning to do & some graphics to polish up. Plus there is a fair bit of testing to do, but the update will be ready some time early next year.

You can now download the new version of the Path of the Lost Ages; which include the new age called Western Teledahn. Use the link on page one of this thread. All of these ages now contain SDL files so your current save games will not be compatible. As far as I can tell all works well but for now I'll call this a beta version, I will try to fix any issues before it ends up on Drizzle. Western Teledahn has been causing problems with the number of lamps I can use which has maxed at 46. If I add another lamp Uru crashes with an unknown exception error; this may be down to the use of light groups as the Ruins of Azmar has 120 lamps. Another thing to note is all the links to Cyan ages have been removed; they now point to fan ages.
There is also a new version of the Maintainers Gateway with a few improvements. A missing detail of chains on the castle drawbridge. New path textures & some occluders. Some of these are also used in Western Teledahn; in fly mode, if you go outside the model, you can see how these work.
It may be an idea to check your sfx folder for the files xPod-PushButton in OGG format & psnlGalleryMusic in WAV format in the streaming cache. If they are not there you will not hear them.

:o Melvin, this looks amazing and I can't wait to visit!

I tried the link to your models library above but it didn't work. What should happen?

That link just keeps trying to generate a new key. I have replaced it with a new file. Not many new meshes on it but I did add some PNG images, so it's easy to see what each file is without the need to load it in. The pipe systems may be of use in that new age of yours Semjay!

Hi Melvin!

I went throught all of your newest age "Western Teledahn" and it is an awesome journey as always with ages of yours :)

I will remain quite obscure in my writings as to not divulge any solutions for those onlookers that have yet to solve the age.

I solved almost everything in it, I just miss one of the XX animals but since it is 1 of the XX, I was able to open the door and pursue my journey to the final area which is really well done and with the gallery music it gives all its magnificence.

I found the 8 you-know-what but was bummed out that it didn't trigger something. I guess it is just for the sake of collecting them!

There are a lot of small issues though, I hope your age is still in beta state.

I classify them into 4 categories: big cheats, fast ways to Relto, imprisonment spots, and out of place artifacts or out of place or missing colliders. I think the way I formulated the categories give away what I mean.

1) Big cheats : you can either avoid the "disc" puzzle altogether and go beyond the locked door quite easily or for the biggest cheat of them all: jump over the railing in such a room where you have a book to reach the final area.

2) Fast ways to Relto : there are quite a few open spots where if you don't stop you end up flying off the age and either reach your relto or have to type "/a" to re-spawn or hit the "ESC" button to go in fly-mode.

3) Imprisonmment spots: along the shore of the entrance island, there are quite a few spots where if you go there, you cannot get out unless you re-spawn or use the fly-mode, there is no way to escape, and also in the different buidlings and the large stump where there are furnitures, if you fall between furnitures, you are trap there for good!

4) In the final temple, near the fountain, there are 3 strange vases that seems out of place, they have no colliders but also they are half inside the wall structure half outside, they don't seem to belong there. There are some rocks in the pathway that can be crossed like if they were not even there which is quite odd and also there is a building that you can go through like if it was an illusion. There are some missing colliders in those spots. You cannot die or go out of the age because those areas are within the gamefield area of the age.

The major issue I see for number #3 is in Deep Island shard, we cannot use the fly-mode there so it is not fun to get stuck.
The big cheats are nice features but it kills the intent of your puzzles lol.
Fast ways to relto are not something most explorers like, I personally don't mind them but most explorers prefer safer environments.

So, I don't know if you want a list, photos, I can make a video to show you where all of these are occuring. Let me know.

Thanks,
Theodore!
