I'm sure when I go to help people, most of them feel like they are shopping at Acme like the ol Willie E. there.

Then again, there are others on here that either talk so high above your head, or assume you know quite a bit that when they give you an answer it sounds like:

"Your flumagadget is snarkling with the danderzorbatron. What you need to do is, snoot the xamixtronics to the ventrifical voorbulator, and then your flumagadget will coagulate on the zarnigromet. Hope this helped."

:D

That sounds about right! Only it's a bit unrealistic, because I understood "coagulate".

Okay, well, I've discovered by trial and error that 4096 units is the largest (in terms of powers of two) I can make a plane and still see edges. That then would seem to be the largest size of skydome possible within Blender. We learn by doing.

Actually, the plane that I use for the ocean in Zephyr Cove is exactly 10,295.982 blender units wide, and I can see the ends just fine in blender.

If you are talking about the "Grey-Out" that happens in Blender when things get too big, here is what you do to fix that.

Go into blender and click on View, then View Properties. A little box will pop up. Look for Clip End, default is 500. Set it to something a lot higher, and that greying out of the geometry in blender will stop.

Oh, right. See, that's the kind of thing I was looking for. So I can go bigger? Whee!
