Something that might help, I keep the wav files in the same folder as my blend file. And Blender has never "lost" them, not even with the earlier PyPRP versions when many people were reporting that issue.

That's where I keep them. In the same folder as the blend file.

Not sure why this is happening. I do know that once you save the blend file after exporting, you don't have the sound files getting dropped anymore.

But for some reason, it's having an issue with any sound file that has more than 8 characters for a name, if it's a NEW sound file that's been introduced.

There couldn't be a limitation in the filename *with the searchpath*, could there?

EDIT: ...which then, when you save it, is perhaps changed from absolute to relative...(?)
