hmmm... well, I think I know what I did wrong, but when I press "P", it's all black, and in texture mode, you can't see the texture, just the lightmap (e.g the lightmap is all black, except for lighted areas, no textures show) and, in render, I can see the lightmap, but it does not have a texture...

It is normal that you can only see one texture at a time (per face) in the realtime view and what you see there serves only as reference to what you get in the end -- you can change the displayed texture to anything - in renders (and Uru) it is still the material texture that is used.

Did you make sure to use Multiply or Add (depending on desired effect), not Mix?

Jojon is right. you will not see all your textures blended together in the real time 3D window in Blender. You have to export and link in to see the results. Think of the lightmap image like you are doing an Alpha Blend, only in this case black is how dark the texture is going to be, and the lighted area how bright it will be.

Just a clarifier, if you're using Blender 2.46, I recommend still using the UV-SmartProjections option for your lightmap layer. I used the LightmapUV option, and got severe bleeding even with the settings that we're supposed to use. I'm not sure why that is, but it happened several times with this option in one of the rooms in my age. I switched back to SmartProjections and no bleeding when I baked. So I don't know what the difference is between blender's default lightmap setting and blenders smartprojection settings but they're not the same, and I recommend still using the old way till someone can figure out why bleeding still occurs.

Wait... so, I'll only see the texture and lightmap together after I export it? Shouldn't I be able to see it in render and when I press "P" tho?
And yes, I did select Multiply.

I've been getting the same problem justintime, what I did was use add rather than multiply, and it seemed to work fine. No matter what settings I had it on I couldn't see the lightmap in render or the game engine, yet when I used add for the mapto setting for the lightmap it seemed to work fine upon linking into the age.
