And how many materials does the water have?
Can we rebuild it? Yes, we can - here's how.

Just to double-check: one way to tell how many materials an object has assigned to it is to look at the Links and Pipeline tab in the Materials panel; to the right of the "OB" and "ME" buttons is the current material counter. It should say "1 Mat 1", right?

Another thing to try: delete your texture cache and re-export. Yeah, that will take some time, but it would be one more thing to cross off the list.

And here's how to check whether your animation will work in Blender (once you solve the white material problem):
- Put in a temporary camera pointed at the water
- Hit F10 to bring up the rendering panels
- On the Anim tab, set "End" to 30 frames
- Click the Anim button. This will show you each frame as it is rendered. The water should be flowing.
Can we rebuild it? Yes, we can - here's how.

I'm running out of ideas and steam; hopefully someone on the next shift can come up with something. :-) Side note: my multi-material/texture object is coming up untextured and black on the allegedly animated parts (but textured on the non-animated parts, at least). :( Time for bed.

Last 2 questions: which version of the plugin are you using? And you're using Blender 2.46, right?

Yes, plugin version 1.5.0, and Blender 2.46...for once I'm up to date

Grasping at straws here... :P

Seing as you are one of the old-timers (..err, not to imply... :P), it couldn't be that you are assigning your textures by loading them from the UV/image editor and ticking the material's "tex face" button, rather than loading them from the texture panel? (unlikely, since I don't believe you could get the alpha exported then, but anyway...)

(As for stencils, they are external alpha channels pretty much, slot one into a texture layer and it will be used to mask the following one.)

I think she has textured them properly, Jojon. Take a look at her screen shots in this post - she has a texture MapInput panel, which she wouldn't get without creating a texture record.

I managed to get my animated textures working. I just deleted the old IPO record, saved the file and reloaded it (to make sure that record was flushed out of memory), then re-created it. And it worked!

What happens if you re-create your IPO curve, Kierra? If that doesn't work, would you be willing to post a zipped, packed Blend file of your world so that we can take a look at it?

True, but it is possible to create a texture record from the material/shading/texture panel, without actually jumping into material/texture and assigning an image to it. :7
