However scaling the actual object was always problematic to me in the past. But it's become second nature to me to scale the vertices rather than the object, so much that I haven't actually scalled an object in a while.. For all I know it could be fixedBut Ekimmai's post seem to disagree.
To clarify a bit more, I had this problem with Blender 2.45, because when you selected Add -> Mesh -> Any, you would return to the 3D window in edit mode, and any scaling or rotation done in edit mode didn't transfer to the ObData Center (I think that's what Blender calls it now), I was so so glad when Blender 2.46 came out that you would return back to Object mode and could do scaling and rotation properly.
It was only with Robert's help did I realise that problem existed, I havn't tried it again because I am so use to now the work around for it.
