As I said, you will need to create a .fni file using PlasmaShop to control the fog density and starting position.

When I create a box, give it a RegionSensor and the xFogSet Component
In the Fog settings I give it a exponentional instead of Linear.
Fog color a nice blue: 0.05,0.39,0.90
Start: 5
End: 100
And I link in that Box I have a nice Blue Fog in the whole Age.
Problem for me is to get the Fog only in a BoxRegion.
But when you just need a Fog in the whole Age, then the settings above are just enough.

Adam is off topic.

From the GoG discussions, I understand that the guilds exist to support their members so they can contribute to their community. I hope you find your support.

FWIW, we ban trolls here. You're walking that line since all you do here is troll and promote your own website, which I would usually dole out an IP ban for.

Don't let the door hit you on your way out.

How I interpret this is: you felt Adam was directing the "uneducated community members" at you and so you responded not only by saying he was off-topic (that's incorrect, spelling corrections are regarded as in-topic so long as they are correcting words critical to the matter of discussion) but then implied that this Guild had not supported Kark when, as it has been pointed out, it's merely a matter of time until someone in the Guild who knows the 3DS plugin posts (Dox has probably answered this as best as possible for now, though). Personally, I don't use the plugin because it's not where future development lies (no one is going to buy 3DS max just to model in Uru when we can easily replicate the features and interface in Blender) but that's beside the point.

@Karkadann

When you export your Age from Max and use Drizzle to convert it, a .fni file will be generated for your Age. This controls the fog in your whole Age. The method that wodan944 describes is perfect for setting the fog in certain areas in your Age (or having the fog change because of something the player did).

The settings in the .fni file that is generated is with no fog. You'll have to edit it with a program like PlasmaShop or UruFun. The settings that are there are all 0's (no fog at all). Fog settings are talked about in the GoW Wiki:

http://www.guildofwriters.com/wiki/FNI_Settings

If you are having problems getting the color and "thickness" of your fog set right, try opening up the .fni file for one Cyan's Ages, who's fog looks like (or close to) what you want, to give you an idea of what numbers to use.

Sorry it took me so long to reply to your question. I've been busy with Eve Online.

Edit:

Here's a tutorial I just made for Max Users:

Again, apologies for not seeing your question. My interest in Uru and especially MOUL:a is waning more and more each day. The spark I once had, has been gone for quite a while now, and I've just been doing things purely on inertia only. I've been spending more and more time working with High Resolution renders (aka Riven, Myst III, IV). My Blog explains it all: http://dusty.homeunix.net/wiki/Andy%27s_Corner

Again thank you, I always new that Patients is a virtue (however you spell that) that I sometimes over look So there are two ways to do fog im kinda reluctant to go messing around with to much of that programing stuff but .fni file settings are definitely worth a look.

and as for loosing that spark. iv lost that spark many times but it always seems to reignite itself.

thanks for the support, and as far as Adams comment is concerned????
well I always did love a good mystery, and ill just leave it at that.
