Chuckles got it; I guess that's why he's Chuckles! It's lolspeak, very common in 'Murica (which is Reddit speak for America!). I'll have to start including interpretation guidelines with my slang or stop goofing off. Nah, I'll just include interpreters :D .

Okay, I re-textured the stairs. I attempted to incorporate Escher's original design that has solid walls with the texture that Karkadann sent me for the steps while using a couple of Tach's textures for color and simplicity. I hope this works!

Now that we've introduced Tach to lolcats, I found the one that I'm afraid will be him when I send him back this blend file:

 I'm going to go over this file with a fine tooth comb before sending it back!

The camera regions I'm used to, it's putting them in an upside down sub-world that I have a problem with. I decided the reason all those paths and gardens are in the normal layer is to put sculptures in!

Getting these things to work is taking more than just the camera. I've had to adjust the meshes, the lighting, the uv mapping plus pick appropriate textures. The effect in-game with the camera transition is really cool though 8-) . Heck, I know how they work, I built them - and it still fascinates me.

Another good one. ^^

Now Mr. Nitpicker talks again. You know me. :D
In the screenshot, the sun is on your back. The shading of the object however suggests the light comes from the right side. This makes it too obvious that it's not real shading but just different levels of texture brightness.
Exchanging the textures in a way that it halfway matches the shading of other objects would increase the illusion again.
Or eventually just rotating the object will do it.

I see what you mean Tach. Okay, I should be able to fix that. I still haven't re-baked the lightmap on the ground surface, but once everything is in place and correct it should look good.

I haven't given my usual regular update because I've been running in 15 different directions lately, but the work has continued ;) . The book is in. That was one of those lessons about what looks good on your desktop won't necessarily look good in the age. The first book I designed was quite elaborate, but when that thing popped up in the actual age environment, it hurt my eyes it looked so bad! I re-designed the book using clean lines and simplicity instead and it looks very nice now. I like the book.

I also fixed the objects that needed placed into their respective VisRegions. That was easy; for some reason, I had it in my head that it would be very difficult and complex. It wasn't and I'm happy now. There's still going to be a few problems that I'll need to leave to Tach's expertise, but I'm taking care of everything I can on my end.

I really like how the age is looking. By designing the entire thing around the work of a genius artist, we're creating a fascinating interactive museum age. I think you'll like what you see in the finished product, keeping in mind that I've only posted first drafts and unfinished work here in my attempts to keep the element of surprise on first entry intact. This is an age that is just as fascinating the 10th time you enter it as it was the 1st time 8-) .

Still lots of work to do because I keep discovering more details to take care of. I'll get it done in a reasonable time frame, which may or may not be next weekend!

Hehe, Karkadann! I really think they should use cats for management training; they're such experts at getting their way.

Right now, it looks like I'll be ready to send this file out by the weekend. I'm STILL adding finishing touches and fixing details. I have to thank you for allowing me the opportunity to work on this; I have once again learned so much while working on it. The more I build, the more I learn and the more I realize how much I still don't know! Speaking of what all I don't know, Tach is going to have to finish this. The work he did incorporating the VisRegions with the large subworlds is (to use an American colloquialism) "Like a 747, it flew right over my head." HALPZ!

One other thing I'll mention. Due to having to export and inspect the work over and over and over again, I've probably listened to Fabioguar's music more than he has by now  . I've heard that song probably several hundred times and I still enjoy it. Great job with the music, it's perfect for the age.
