Animated texture going white...?

If you feel like you're up to the challenge of building your own Ages in Blender or 3ds Max, this is the place for you!

Can someone that knows about animating textures update the wiki tutorial when they get a chance? The tutorial that is there now is a little bare-bones.

A section on how to properly use multiple animations without causing the others to stop would be nice too. :)

thanks,

If you have layer animations that halts unexpectedly I'd look at two things:

*Delete the save file for the age - it may "remember" an old version of the age and mess things up.

*Make sure the last keyframe for all animated layers in one material (..or rather, one material IPO set) are the same. If a material has two animated layers, where one ends at frame 30 and the other at frame 10, the animation duration for BOTH layers will be 30 frames (the longest one) -- the other layer will stand still for 20 frames, until the animation loops. In this case, you'd have to move the keyframe at frame 10 to frame 30 instead and increase its end offset to 3, to still make it move three times as fast as the other layer, but now end at the same (last) frame.

(If nobody else expands the tutorial I may have a go, although I fear I may mess it up instead.. :P)
