Rope, tubing and cable

I finally found this neat tutorial to model tubing.

This can easily be adapted to make railings, ladder rung (prior to using any method to multiply them to form a ladder), or just to make the Age more real, with hydraulic hoses, cables, wires etc.

You can do it that way, but I find it incredibly easy to create rope, cable, and the like by just creating a circle and extruding it around.

I know, but its a real hassle making it look natural.
While rope is usually sagging its easy to make it look natural with any method, the same can't be said for cables, wire, tubes, and hoses, which often have to bend and flex to mate with an adapter.

Well, if you're not highly picky about the shape you can use "organic extrude". ([Ctrl][Shift][LeftMouseButton]) or for a curved sag, extrude a long pole, loop cut it, and move each central segment downward for a nice sag, and then transform it to stretch between wherever...

I made a quick, and I hope, thorough tutorial on using bezier curves and bezier circles to make something that would otherwise look dull, interesting, in this case, a ladder using an Array modifier.

You should copy that onto the Wiki as a modeling tutorial. More people are likely to see it there. ;)

I will do, I just wanted to get some feedback on how easy/difficult it is to follow
