Multiple Export options. What do they do?

Okay, I'm gonna ask probably a dumb question thats been answered a million times.

Upon Export, you get a number of options for age and prp exports. My question is what do all of those different ones do. Selection as Age. Does that mean just what you have selected gets exported? I'm a little confused as to all the different export options. Someone mind filling me in.

I'm not an export on them but, I think it works something like this:

Generate Release: Export an age with a "textures" prp and some kind of compression
All as full age: I usually use this one... this is kind of plain-vanilla it does the same as the one above only that it doesn't have the compression
All as full age perpage textures: writes the age the same as "all as full age" only the textures are per-page which means no textures prp
Selection as full age: I think you can guess this one

All the single-prp settings below, they are much the same as the ones above only that they are things like AhraPahts shells.

I hope that's helped somewhat. :)

"Selection as single prp" is a good way you can create single objects for future export and import.
That's how I did my colliders for the City.
