If you're talking about the little dot in the centre of the object which everything *sometimes* rotates around, you can change its postion by:

A) Clicking where you want it to be, and then selecting the object, going into the edit menu (but still in object mode), and pressing centrecursor.
or
B) Going ino edit mode, selecting the vertices that you want it to be in the middle of (in this case, press A to select all vertices), press shift-s -> cursor to selection, and then going into object mode mode and pressing centre cursor.
or
C) Pressing centre new in edit mode.

Sorry if this wasn't what you were asking about!

in Object mode, select from the menu Object -> Transform -> Object data to centre
or words to that effect to return that dot to the centre of the object
