3rd Person Camera

Postby Rabbit » Thu Oct 02, 2008 10:52 am

I am building an Age where I am going to have to control the camera angle/zoom in certain palces when played in 3rd person.

If I have an avie with back against a wall, I want the camera adjust angle to face him(her). I don't want the camera to be on the other side of it. (player sees wall from other side)
Likewise, I have a few corridiors and details where I want the camera to be up close to the avie, or to zoom in certain areas.

I see this effect in Uru quite a lot and was wondering how difficult it is to do this. Can this be done in Blender with the plugin (simply create an invisible mesh from PyPRP?)

Many thanks for any help

Rabbit.

yes this is possible, and for what you want to do, should be pretty simple.

Define a fixed camera, and create a region in which it will be active:
