We have an age (I have one in process) where you press a button (this I can do). This activates a pre-recorded (this may not be possible yet) marker game but the markers have to be done in a particular pre-established order (again an unknown).

On completion of this marker game a door opens leading to some reward clothing
or
On completion of this marker game a door opens leading to another section of the game.
or
On completion of this marker game a door opens leading to changes the order of the markers. (this requires feedback from the marker game like how many right last time)
or
On completion of this marker game a door opens leading to another age.
or
On completion of this marker game you get some piece of intel that helps with another puzzle.
or
On completion of this marker game a door opens leading to the first D'ni Dunny

If this is a "blind" trial-and-error sequence, I wouldn't enjoy it. I would hope for there to be some clue to the sequence somewhere or for the sequence to make some kind of logical "intuitive" sense. I consider trial-and-error puzzles to be a form of torture. However, if the choices are fairly limited, I might tolerate it.

Something that can give a clue is when the markers are pi8cked up in random order, the KI outputs a meesage to somewhere saying for instance
Marker 2 picked up
Marker 9 picked up
Marker 5 picked up

But the correct order would be sequential ie 2, 5, 9

Don't worry dtierce It is not trial and error in the first place there would be a clue this you got three in the wrong order is simply for the "hard of thinking" brigade second some people like this approach so they can use it if they want.

I don't do blind trial and error some of my puzzles look like they are, but there is always a pattern. If this one goes to completion and you don't get it and look at the walk through I swear you will be kicking yourself. :)

If you have any doubt use the ULM to download Enobmort and climb the first ladder all the numbers you see including the one at the link in point till you get to the winding (curved) corridor are one puzzle there is one three D'ni digit solution. [edit]I have found in the copy that went to ULM there's three numbers invisible (odd) but I have sorted that locally and I am well on the way to the next release which includes the content for puzzle 3 so I intend doing the update then. [/edit]

If I can crack the Python code there will be an input device with the last number (the animation for this is written) It's Python that's holding me up. :(

[edit2] The input device is in the ULM version it is clickable but the change animations need to be python driven and I am not there yet.[/edit2]
