So how is development going for the plugin, any major updates?

No updates.
The fans can't develop this plugin because we don't have the source code. Until we get that, or Cyan starts fixing stuff, this plugin will stay the same.
Currently getting some ink on my hands over at the Guild Of Ink-Makers (PyPRP2).
