I think I discovered a Glitch that might be usefull

I stumbled on it by chance from messing around with AutoCad and Max. I finally found out what I did and reproduced it. Its two individual objects that move as one with what seems like nothing connecting them, no invisible terrain or anything. both objects move as one even though they are several feet apart, you can walk between them, over them around them with out moving them but if you move one of them you move both of them as if they are one object. And they export perfectly I incorporated the glitch into a couple of Ouija boards so if you move one pointer they both move. I included the age files If any one is interested in checking it out. Its a simple age I did just to display the glitch. its not to difficult reproduce. and I thought it may be of some interest.

Edit to add: I find I hafta delete the save file to get the pointer back when I knock it off the boards linking out and back in don't seem to work for me for some reason

If ya wanna try it in your own age with some thing a bit less spooky

merge the UnionBox.max into your experimental age, and when you add it into the components manager as a simple be sure and check the components utility to make sure the bounding shape is on exact.

Uhm, Karkadann,

I hate to be the one to tell you this but:

We've been making objects like this in Blender for years. And I know you can do this in Max, Maya, Lightwave, Wavefront, etc, etc.......

It's not 2 objects. It's one. You can edit the object until it looks like 2 objects, or you can join 2 objects together.....even though they are spaced very far apart. Once you join them together, they are still considered one object.

So I'm afraid it's not a glitch. It's all part of 3D Modeling.

But, don't let this discourage you from showing everyone something else down the road. You never know, the next time it could be a glitch. :D

Hmm I don't recall ever seeing anything like this in Uru or the fan created ages, and at the moment I cant think of any thing else to do with it except a room under the Ouija board so you can move the pointer around from underneath but the list of names in KI would be a dead giveaway...........no pun intended
