Amazing texturing tutorial

Postby bnewton81 » Fri Apr 29, 2011 5:17 am

I came across this tutorial and it has helped fill in some of the holes in my understanding of stenciling/vertex painting/multilayer uv texturing. After watching this tutorial I feel confident that I could effect a realistic texture on any object. If you are having any trouble with making your textures look realistic (non repeating), then this is the tutorial for you. The texturing happens in the second half of the video, but there are some great tips for using a lattice, curved array, and some other things in the beginning as well.

Please watch this video. I promise it will help you.

I guess I'm the only one that has any trouble with texturing.

No - and thank you for posting the tutorial. Much appreciated.
It's really well done, as most of those made by Jonathan Williamson.

When I started using Blender a year or so ago I thought that I would know everything there was to know by now. How wrong I was. In my opinion, it takes a solid year to get your foundation layed so that you can start to learn (understand). But maybe I'm just slower to pick this stuff up than most.

No, you´re not. You can´t be slower than me
I still struggle with texturing, but I´m optimistic.
