Nexus Pedestals and Bevin-style Imagers

If you feel like you're up to the challenge of building your own Ages in Blender or 3ds Max, this is the place for you!

Nexus Pedestals and Bevin-style Imagers

Postby nathan2055 » Wed May 25, 2011 9:16 am

I'm working on the Community Nexus project and was wondering, does anyone have Blender files for a Nexus pedestal? I'm also looking for one for a Bevin-style imager. Does anyone have these?

Yes, i builded both objects for my own project Turtle Isle.

No problem for anyone who want to use them.

I have posted both blend files for download on the GOW server.
They are already textured.

Those wonderfull Worlds are called " Ages" , because that is what it takes to build one.

Hmm...now that I look at the pedestal, although it has the same style, I need a blend of the original Nexus pedestal (like the one used in the city) to go in the back of the WNexus (however the pedestal will be perfect for a shell of mine). However, the imager (though it might need to be retextured to fit the WNexus theme) will be perfect. Oh, and does the license mean it can only be used for MO:RE, or URU in general?

The imager could stay the way he is, it was probably found and repaired in the cavern and mounted to the walls by the explorers, ;).

OK, sounds good. What do you think about the pedestal?

What's the legal status on this though? I'm not sure we can use any Cyan assets (model and or texture) the way we want in another Age. In fact I'm pretty sure 'legally speaking' we can't, unless we get authorization from Cyan.
So either you ask authorization from Cyan (but I fear they have other things to handle), or you don't care; and hope they don't care either. (which might work)

I'm not sure, URU is open source, and I've seen people use actual Nexus pedestals and imagers in their Ages.

DON't worry these are not official models, dendwaler made it himself, therefore no legal problem
