I'm using the 2012 version of MAX with the plugins from that thread. When I try to create a RT omni (commandPannel -> Lights -> PLasma RunTime) MAX crashed completely. Here is a pic but it is in german:
Any ideas how to fix it?

This is probably a bug caused by porting the code to newer max versions. Unfortunately while the code compiles, it doesn't always work as expected when moving from an old max version to a new one. I don't have the knowledge of Max and the plugin to actually test all the features in detail myself, which is why you guys get the "testing" build

I'll try to reproduce your crash and let you know what I find.

I tried recreating Nobby's problem in Max 2011. I could not recreate it, I even added multiples of the all of the Plasma Runtime Lights. Max 2011 kept trucking along for me, no matter how many or of what lights I added.

I've confirmed this crash occurs in Max 2012. I'm still working on tracking down the actual cause... debugging a max plugin is kind of a pain
