[Guide] Lightmapping

Postby Whilyam » Mon Jul 14, 2014 4:16 pm

Greetings all,

I just posted a big guide/tutorial to lightmapping. I recently did a lot of work converting some of my Ages to the lightmap system. It always intimidated me, so I wanted to try and explain it and provide a clearer guide than is found on the wiki. Please check it out and let me know what you think.

I just have two points.

1. Embed the images don't just link to them
2. Put this on the GoW Wiki if you haven't already

1. You want this thing longer than it already is? :P
2. That sounds like work. Plus, I don't know that I haven't missed something on the Gow tutorial.

1. Images make the process easier. I have always found Andy's tutorials easier to follow because he provides decent images with it.

2. tutorials IMO need to be on the wiki as thats the point of it and is where people come to to learn. We've got tutorials scattered all over the place which makes them a pain to track down.
