Will 3ds max 9 or 2012 work in Windows 8.1 or 10

Is anyone running 3ds max on a windows 8.1 or 10 machine. I need to replace my computer and will need to go to 8.1 at the very least.

If you are running on one of these versions of windows what version of 3ds max are you using, or do you know if any version of 3ds max will work on 8.1 or 10.

Please include the windows and 3ds max versions you use.

Thanks,

Well, I can tell you that 3dsMax 7 is not working under Win 8, 8.1 and 10.
Windows 7 is perfect.
I have two computers and my workstation has Windows 10 on it and the other has Windows 7 pure for building with 3dsMax 7 and both are 64 bits.
Creativity involves breaking out of established patterns in order to look at things in a different way.

Thanks for the reply, good info.

I'm using 3ds max 9 and I am willing to upgrade to 2012 if that will work but I need to know before spending the money on a new computer. My HP i5 is done and as long as I'm spending the money I would rather purchase a new computer then put the money into the old one.

I use 3DS Max 8 with Windows 10 but it has to run in administrator mode and then it works just fine.
