Problems with my Elevator

Postby Dulcamara » Wed Nov 30, 2016 8:21 am

Hello all

in my new Age i have a elevator. (nothing new becouse there is one in ElodeasTunnelgang and Schatzkammern too). But this time i have a new problem.
I go into the elevator, all is ok . I drive downward, all ok. If i want to go out of the elevator i go one step that is ok , but then i fall down and must go to Relto.
Who can help me with this problem ?

Greetings

I recognize that as a common problem with enter and exit regions.
I completely gave up with my rising organ in the cathedral , originally i wanted that you could use that subworld to travel down to the cellars.
Anyway, you can try to make a second collider just a bit below the one where you exit. Then you fall down on this collider.
But if you place the collider not exactly horizontal , you walk a little upwards and come back on the correct height.
This sometimes works if the exit zone is only in one direction.
If the exit is round and therefore had more adjacent planes. It still didnot work on the edges.
Those wonderfull Worlds are called " Ages" , because that is what it takes to build one.

Hello Dendwaler,
thanks for your answer. I will try it with the Collider.
If it will not work, i must build many stairs and ladders   ,
to get to the desired location.

Linking books might work
The Optimist see's the glass half full, The Pessimist see's the glass half empty.
Its the Realist who see's the glass is half full with air, half full with water

Thanks Karkadann for your response :)

I have no experience with linking books in the same age.

I will see what is the best for ours explorer.
I think a little movement can not hurt.
Why always use the elevator when stairs are so healthy.
The last alternative would be to jump from the top to the ground.

Look at the floor or collider of the elevator that has the bounds set and how far it protrudes into the target floor's collider. it must protrude at least one foot or more. the elevator floor or collider must be slightly above that floor. I believe this is a common problem with subworlds which has plagued me as well. Also check your subworld itself and make sure that the X and Y axis in transform properties rotation are set at 0. Hope this helps.
