Hey guys, I've been using Blender V 2.44.

I just noticed today that they have V 2.45 out now (32 bit version)....

Will the plugin work with this newer version? Do I want it?

Yah Justin, everything will still be installed. Just run the install program. It will even still show your recent uploads.

BUT:

uhm...Trylon....someone? Suddenly I can't UV map anymore...not sure why. it was working just fine BEFORE I updated. But for some reason, after I unmap my faces, after I call up my image I'm not seeing it in the 3D windows. And I've GOT to! Else I can't adjust the mapping to make the texture look right on the object.

What did I do? Feels like I turned something off. I mean, this is a new object I just created after the 2.45 update. A cube no less.

EDIT: Later. Never mind! Never mind! I figured it out. Back on the tutorials, there was a warning about needing to have the texture in the same directory where your blend file is stored. Well, with 2.45 something changed. Before I didn't have to do that, now I do. Once I put the texture in with the same folder as my blend folder, poof, it showed up in the 3D window.

Grrrr.....stupid Blender....making Andy feel stupid......

Whats the difference between the versions? Is it worth it to DL?

I haven't seen a difference yet, except for at the top of the screen it says 2.45 now instead of 2.44.

This is more than likely a list of changes somewhere.

DL did not take long at all.

I recall seeing somewhere (I don't remember where, but it was probably the Blender website) that 2.45 was a bug-fix release and would be the most stable of the 2.4x versions. No new features were added, but a lot of bugs were fixed and the Python API was slightly expanded (more PyPRP goodness!).

In any case, if you're anything like me, you've already got it installed and working with PyPRP; and nothing seems broken, so it should be all good :)
