Major hack of the MOULa server this evening?

Anything that isn't directly related to Age Creation but that might be interesting to Age developers.

I'm not sure if it is possible to auto-load the current prp format into an engine that does this right (TM). But if it is, I think it's going to be the most complex part of the engine...

the solution is to move most python and logic processing to the server... but all the PRPs and python scripts assume they're talking to a single client. It might be possible to dynamically "switch out" object pointers in a way that lets these bits run on a server and still think they're talking to one client... but it won't be simple by any means.

Just FYI, we discussed moving the python to the server for MQO. I don't know the details of implementing this - only that it is viable.

UU had some server-side Python for a few things ('heek I think?).

So it's definitely possible and viable... just for some reason not implemented in MOUL :\

Yes, Heek was server side in UU. That is now a client-side "game" in MOUL.

Could the reason be server load, maybe?

I like to think that server python no longer exists in MOUL, but I wouldn't know. I do know that making Ayoheek part of the plGameMgr made sense though--they had already created that functionality for TicTacToe and BlueSpiral, so why not make heek client side like everything else? Of course, I don't pretend to understand Cyan, so my speculations might just be complete garbage.
