Did you play it?
What do you think?
Does anyone know if freecam is possible?

I can't try it right now because my video card blew up.

I’m playing it in (PC)VR. I’m spending way more time just looking around than trying to solve puzzles :D

Freecam is possible using Universal Unreal Engine 5 Unlocker.
Deep Island #194197, MOULa #46116, Gehn #137074, Minkata #132812.
Gahreesenomee biv keneet pishoeet b’set!
My macOS wrappers, Fan Age Expeditions, tools and other stuff.

I've played it and thoroughly enjoyed it! :)

Don't expect this version to be like the original. I mean here puzzle-wise because obviously the graphics and all are much better. There are also many new areas to explore inside each island.

There are 4 randomize sequences now in this game compared to 2 randomize sequences in the original version. You cannot complete the game in the same order. It is more linear in Riven (2024) than Riven (1997) where you could wander the game in reverse order if your heart wished to do.

We can count our blessings that Cyan Games is still around and upgrade their old games like Myst in 2021 and Riven this year. I've started to replay Zork Nemesis and it is a drag, the gameplay works with finessing the cursor speed but the video sequences are really awful.

In order, my top 4 Myst Series games are:
Riven (2024)
Myst (2021) with random puzzles option
RealMyst Masterpiece (2014)
Myst III Exile (shows wears of time though)

Bonus: For fans of Benoît Sokal's work (he is deceased now...), they will release a new version of L'Amerzone, le testament de l'explorateur. I hope it will be as good as Riven (2024) in terms of makeover.
