That is indeed great news and a wonderful opportunity to keep URU alive. Sincere thanks to GD and all at Cyan who are helping to make it possible.

I'll believe it when I see the code -- this isn't the first time such a promise has been made.

Well, he's not making a promise. Rather the opposite -- saying that Cyan can't promise anything, because Gametap has to agree before anything can happen.
But it's good to know what they'd *like* to do.

This clears up one of our concerns. This means that Cyan has looked at hosting their own server and thinks that it is financialy sound. So this means Cyan has the ability to host Uru. Now the ball is in gametap's court. Personally, I don't think gametap's interested in hanging onto the rights to Uru. That really doesn't fit into their buisness model. There not in to exclusivity. Their Sam & Max exclusivity is only for 15 days.

I figured they were working, and I ALSO figured GameTap was preventing em from making a move. Lets just wait for now

Yeah (although it certainly not a promise), but at least it show they (Cyan) wants to do it but right now it's in GT's court.. GT doesn't have anything to win by forbiding Cyan to do with (using whatever contractual leverage they have).. So it might be just a matter of time until we have some good news.

Hmm... I worded my post poorly.
Yeah, I understand that it's not a promise, but it's not the first time that Cyan's said something like this, and it's not happened, so I'm not holding out much hope. I still think that we're on the right track here at the GoW and don't really care at this point what Cyan says nor does.

Though Hoikas is being a bit standoffish, it is for a good reason.
I too am taking the stance of wait and see. Cyan has made to many promises and hinted at things only to not produce any of it for me to get excited about this right now.
