UCC for the Xbox 360

:D Here is an idea. How about Cyan converts Uru: the complete chronicles (UCC) into Xbox 360 format. It could be adapted into Xbox controller format. Yes, It would be difficult to do the Ctrl- 1-8 action moves but maybe we could design it that you get to choose which action for a curtain button (like the blue X button). The A button would probably by the “jump” button and “RB” could be the activate item.

As for achievements for Gamescore points we can make it that by activating all the journey clothes in one collection of ages you unlock an achievement.
Here are some examples:

G10-100link by linking for you 100th time.
G10-KadishJourney by finding all the journey clothes in Kadish.
G50-AllJourney by finding all the clothes in the game.
G5-DockPage by finding the yeesha page that creates the dock.
G5-Sharper’sHat? by picking up Sharper’s hat.
G5-Zandi’sShirt? by picking up Zandi’s Shirt.
G40-AllGarb by finding all the garb throughout the game.
G50-BahroTotemsAway by releasing al the Bahro totems.
G100-CompleteStory by unlocking all the UCC achievements.

And much more…
Perhaps by unlocking a curtain achievement you unlock special footage, concept art, special clothing from Urulive for your character’s closet.

It could also possess a multiplayer format through system link or Xbox live perhaps. Maybe even a four player split screen. That would be cool.

Perhaps you could also include the Uru Prologue features. Maybe a small program that allows you to customize your Relto using items seen through out the game.

Now I am not Cyan so I don’t know what they are doing right now sense all their present work as I have been told is top-secret. However I do think that this would help them get Uru out there and they already have the game they just need to format it for the Xbox 360 and they do have some behind the scenes of Uru footage made (like the footage on the Uru soundtrack for Quicktime). So I shall just suggest this as an idea for Cyan.

Maybe later Cyan will allow the Guild of Age Writers to put the SFSOK on Xbox live as a download.

P.S. If anyone thinks this would be good another forum fell free to copy and paste. Just give me some credit please.

I'm VERY iffy on this.

I think it would be good that it would be more well known.

What I really don't like about this idea is all this stuff about "points", "Cheats" and "achievements". Uru, as well as all the other Myst games were always about no Game Overs, Points, etc.

From what you're saying, I got from this that you would like to see it in a format like a first-person shooter or something like Halo 3, Call of Duty, etc. However, I think if Uru was introduced to that kind of audience, it wouldn't become too popular. This game isn't like a first-person shooter, and I don't think Cyan would even want it to come close to something like that, plus, they don't have that kind of money right now.

Overall, I'm not sure I like this idea :?

8-) Who said anything about cheats. I just talked about unlocking content about Uru through doing curtain achievements. Cheats are where you get something for nothing.

You also assume that I want this game to be a FPS. Honestly I like the game the way it is. it would just be cool if they transferred it to the 360. I mean thats what Cyan did the Myst 3 and 4.

Another reason is that if they transferred it to 360 format some of us who have more memory on our 360s then our computers and still play UCC and have a great time and have more room on our computers for other projects. Like SFSOK.

Also I have a cuison who is presently working at Cyan as a gamer and he is permitted to say anything so they must be working on something.

I would like Uru to be more out there, but all the stuff about points and achievements, I really don't like. If they're gonna transfer it for Xbox 360. They need to keep it EXACTLY the way it is, Just like they did when transfering a few of their other games.

Cyan didn't have anything to do with Myst 3 and 4. Those were handled by Presto Studios and UbiSoft.

As for your cousin working at Cyan, you should know that they are nothing more than a QA business now, with no programmers or artists. Getting MORE up and running will be a strain on their resources.

:D To be honest with you I personally don't think it would hurt the game. If anything it will make others want to play more.
Not to be mean but here is a quistion for you Jamey:

do you even own an Xbox 360? :?:

As for Paradox, I must say that Ubisoft alos helped with UCC and they have posted this game either.

I never said it was going to hurt the game, I just think it is a really bad idea to have points and achievements.

I can tell you why it wouldn't work, because I can't find any reason why it would.

As I stated earlier, Uru, as well as all the other Myst games were always about no Game Overs, Points, High Scores, etc. Uru/The Myst Franchise was never meant to be like, or even remotely close to a FPS. Putting these in there would bring it closer to something LIKE a FPS.
