GoMa Forum Server Move

Postby andylegate » Sat Jan 08, 2011 5:26 pm

The GoMa forum will be shut down tomorrow to finish our server move. It can take 24 to 48 hours for the new IP address to propagate. The GoMa's domain name will not be changing, but you may need to refresh your browser.

We thank you for your patients and understanding.

The GoMa's server move is complete.

Edit:

The old URL's are the same as prior to the move now.

Site is: www.guildofmaintainers.org
Forum is: www.guildofmaintainers.org/Forum

Apologies!

The URL posted earlier was wrong. The GoMa's web and forum URLs are back to what they were prior to the move.

You may still need to clear your cookies for it prior to trying to log in.

I'm getting a Server Not Found error. Is the server down?

No, it is not down. Like Andy said, it is back at the old address: http://www.guildofmaintainers.org/Forum

That is Forum with a capital F. But perhaps this last change has not been propagated for you.

Weird, it worked fine for me this morning. This evening all I get is server not found. And I clicked on your link D'Lanor and it gave me server not found. I even tried http://www.guildofmainters.org/ and all I get is server not found. I even tried one of those anonymous surf sites and it can't resolve it either. I even tried the IP address that Nyn had posted before the domain propogated, I can't get to the site through that either.

Edit: Finally found one anonymous surf site that could see GoMA and allowed me to post, so I posted over there about this.

I can't log into the new forum either. I even tried to register and that does no work either. When you agree to rules, it doesn't go any further. I tried deleting cookies and that didn't work.

Apologies. We were having issues with our cookies for the forum. The problem has been fixed, and so far people are reporting no problems anymore.

Wamduskasapa: I have the forum telling me that you are a "Inactive" user, showing that you never activated your account that you registered with the activation email that is sent out.

I'm going to manually activate your account for you.

Thanks Andy, I have successfully logged in today on GOMA. What ever you did worked for me.
