GOW Client on Cyan's server?

Forgive me if I seem... uninformed. I'm fairly new to playing URU online.
I noticed there have been some improvements to the client used on the Gehn shard and I was wondering if it is possible to use those improvements on Cyan's MOUL server.

AFAIK, there is no policy prohibiting this. The clients are still compatible at this time. All you should need is to set the build number and use the correct server.ini to connect.
I haven't done this, so I'm sure someone else can probably supply better directions.

I have no idea why this is the case but logging in to MOULa with a self-compiled client does not work for me (Authentication failed).

Little progress update: I did not compile PCRE with UTF support, at first. Fixed it now!

You guys lost me. But then again I haven't had the time to invest in learning the technical side of this game.

It's technically possible, but requires some effort. We had to take down our client builds that would work with MOULa because of licensing issues with RAD Game Tools.
