Hello everybody,

From time to time, I like doing things that are a bit challenging, though totally useless  . For instance...

I showed my WIP Age to Rand... well, I think he likes it !
Who wouldn't enjoy the sun and fresh air ? :D

That's not an Uru render, of course. I wanted to import the Male Avatar into Blender to get a look at how it was made, so I fixed a few things in PyPRP. Unfortunately importing clothes isn't working fine, so I imported a custom avatar instead. Rand Miller's of course. Although I could have imported one of Ahnonay's Quabs instead ;) .
Then I reworked a bit the material (normal mapping, specularity color, etc).

After that, I had to re-rig him... I don't know a lot about rigging, but I can handle simple armatures. And since PyPRP imports the bone locations, it was easy to find each bone's position (although I didn't bother rigging the eyes and mouth). Blender calculated the rest.

Now, to actually make him sit... I had to rotate each bone correctly, which is simple for the legs. Crossing his arms, though, was tougher (especially the damnable fingers !).

Finally, I simply imported the mesh into my Age, and rendered it with Blender.

This is how it looks in Blender. The small thing next to him is a KI.

Nicely done Sirius,
To be challenged by something , rewards in most cases.
Those wonderfull Worlds are called " Ages" , because that is what it takes to build one.

I'd say he's looking quite pleased and comfy ... this looks like it was time well spent and worth the effort ... Thanks for sharing, Sirius ... :P

Thank you all for your kind replies :D

Solving little challenges like this is always fun. Useless, but fun.

To give you an idea of how much time it took: about 1 hour fixing PyPRP, 1 hour and a half tweaking the imported meshes and materials, and rig/pose the model.
Then 40 minutes of rendering, mostly because of the shadows passing through the leaves
