ULM suggestion

I have a suggestion concerning the ULM at start-up--when you start it, it kind of freezes while it gets the age list. Would it be possible to code in a loading dialog that one could close off so it's not in as much of "crashed" state?

Plus... with the next rewrite ... we need it to handle the .wav and .oog sound files

It already handles the .ogg files in the sfx folder, and as far as I can tell it's not neccesary to include the .wav files
