Announcements and discussion regarding Trylon's Uru Library Manager

I don't think we have a Wiki yet for the ULM, but that is a fantastic idea. I think for now we might want to set up a forum specifically for the ULM redesign project, be it here or on GoMa. Once I get the new GoMa server up and running (should be soon I hope), we can use the new Wiki I have installed on there for the ULM.

Right now we have some basic info on it on the GoMa forums (look under Technical Help) and also in our installation instructions. Pop over to http://www.guildofmaintainers.org and poke around. It might give you a basic brief on what's going on. Otherwise, feel free to ask plenty of questions; we're always willing to help. :)

Sounds like a fantastic idea!
I think it would be good to have it on the GoMa site, so people who only visit there can see some development too.
Can you set it up for me?

The web/server part is already started, some new access control / permission / premission groups feature will be added. Trying to finish it before 5/15.

About 4 weeks till its finished then.
Wasn't expecting it to be done in such a short space of time.

Real reason for bumping this thread is that the discussion of sequence prefixes came up again, and I knew that it was going to be dealt with in ULM 2.0.

Keep up the good work

Ehm... I think it's Trylon who is working on the client side, but as I know everyone is kinda busy with real life stuff at the moment, so new ULM is far away. But as soon as I finish the user management part of the server side I'll collect more info about the automatic prefix distribution system requirements and will start working on that to be ready for the client.
