New ULM Bugfix Client released

Postby Trylon » Fri Nov 02, 2007 3:38 pm

I just released an update to the ULM client (RC5.5).
As this fixes a few serious issues, I strongly encourage you to download it.

Fixed issues:
- Increased tolerance to changing .sum files (you won't get a broken book with a slightly different .sum file anymore
- Fixed serious bug in upload compression.
- Fixed "Remote FTP server doesn't report filesize" bug. ULM now also download from FTP servers that don't report filesize.
- Fixed bug where you can't start ULM first time if you don't have a web connection, or have the wrong library url
- The old (and deprecated) UAM Api should work again

Download it at: http://ulm.hbyte.net/Client/ULM10RC55Setup.exe

Trylon,

Like in an earlier build, I can't seem to get past the select install directory screen. The Next button stays gray. I also have to type in the directory myself. Selecting it with browse doesn't work.

You have to point it to a directory that has urusetup.exe in it

Trylon, do you need FTP mirrors or are you OK?

Please disregard. Because there is a centralized list I surmised there was a centralized file repository. Then I looked at the Age submission form and realized the Age creator has to provide a public FTP.

Anyway, if anyone has a problem with hosting his files, just drop me a PM. I run some servers for a provider in the USA.

Ah, ok.
Though, if you want to provide the ftp space we might be able to incorporate a default ftp server straight from ulm for people who can't provide webspace.
The current situation, though very flexible, does provide a little problem for writers without ftp space.
