Personal ages not updating?

Hmm, it's not in there.

That means that either
A) ULM can't find the .age file
B) ULM can't read the .age file
C) There is an error in the .age file, or the sequence prefix isn't 100 or more after all.

Could you check if the .age file has the correct contents.
You should be able to use Plasmashop or UruFun to read it.

if possible, please post the (decoded) contents of your .age file.

I have plasmashop but am not very good at using it. I opened it and found Teralee listed in the ages section.

don't know how to decode the age though...how do I do that?

ETA: I think I figured out how to decode the age. Interestingly enough, it lists the age sequence prefix as "0" for some reason, even though in blender it is listed as "4000". I tried fixing the sequence prefix through plasmashop, but it had no effect, ULM is still not picking up on Teralee.

You should be able to edit your age file just fine in PlasmaShop.

Just double click on the Age Settings file, and in the edit window, it will list the Book properties in text format, like this:

Just type in 4000 for your SequencePrefix number (as you said it said 0), and then make sure you go up and click on SAVE.

Then load up the ULM again.

My question is WHY your age is being exported with a 0 if you have 4000 in your Book.

Well, the .age file you can just attach in the mail,
and for the bookscript, there is a neat "Save As" menu option in the "File" menu. Just save as a text file and attach as well..

Note that while fixing the sequence prefix in the .age file may help to make the age show up in ULM, you will still crash when linking there if it does not match the sequence prefix in the prp files (which you cannot edit that easily).

You really have to figure out why this is happening. btw, which PyPRP version are you using?

Ah ha!

After a night of sleep I realized what I was doing wrong. As usual its one of those "duh" things.

I forgot to go scripts>wizards>pyprp wizards and upgrade my book. *head desk*

In my defense it has been awhile since I've made a new age...*cough* *clears throat* um...yeah.

Uh...the silver lining here I think is that this solution can be added to that troubleshooting FAQ, Aloys. Also, the wiki tutorial "your first visit" makes no mention of updating your book.

Updating your book? You just made a new age, so you should have a new book, not one needing to be updated.
