Personal ages not updating?

The only time you would have to upgrade your book is when the age was originally built in version 0.5 or older.

For new ages you should use the regular method which is mentioned here: http://guildofwriters.com/wiki/Setting_ ... ing_a_book

I'm running off of a slightly less updated plug-in version. I don't know what the version number is, but it was the one that allowed us to add sound and music to our ages.

I should probably update, but every time I update things go wacky and it takes me all day (sometimes several) to get it working right....a huge ordeal that I loathe every time. Its all user error of course because I don't understand what the heck I'm doing, LOL. I can do artistic, but the technical stuff always seems to be just a pinch beyond my grasp

Well, sounds came with the new GoW plugin. So you can safely use the regular "add book" method.

I would still recommend using the latest version. The sound flags have changed since this was first implemented. So anything you see in the wiki about sounds is probably wrong for your version.

Good. And to avoid unneccessary frustration please use the current nightly build: http://svn.guildofwriters.com/pyprp_nightly.zip because the 1.3.1 (latest) version had some bugs.

huh, updating went remarkably frustration free....I'd say I'm starting to get the hang of it...but I don't want to jinx myself more likely its the programmers making it idiot proof

installed the nightly update too...I didn't get any error messages or anything so I assume that means I set it up correctly

now if only I could remember how to set the .fni fog settings with the new tools...

huh, thats what I tried before but I figured I was forgetting something because theres nothing in the init text file. According to that tutorial all I should have to do is open the init file in the text window, but when I open it theres nothing there

You actually need to simply scroll up in the file; make sure that the scroll bar on the left is not at the bottom. I just checked and I had to.
