I'm a PC, and I've been made into a stereotype.

Sorry, no. I don't use Vista. I think if I ever considered switching to Vista I'd have to compulsively shoot myself in the foot. It's about the same level of pain.

I started having this problem today too - using Vista Home 32bit. Prior to today ULM has worked fine with no problems.

The library URL is correct: http://ulm.hbyte.net/library.php

I can start to download a book but the book is always broken (brown icon).

Next when I start Uru, I get the error message "UruSetup.exe has stopped working" -and Uru terminates.

To solve the problem of Uru not starting I have to go the /dat directory and delete the relevent partially downloaded files (some 0 bytes), and Uru starts correctly again.

Assume a transient problem with the server or somewhere in between ??

ULM problems experienced today might be caused by the problems with the GoMa domain name.

I haven't been able to reach that site since last night.

The domain name was not refinanced there is another thread on this.

See http://www.guildofwriters.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=72&t=2464&p=26898#p26898

You can hit the forum using

Forum is at 67.159.129.115/Forum

The site IP is 67.159.129.115 stick this in in place of the http//www.guildofmaintainers.org and you hit the site.

Is there any way to put this in the ULM?

No, but writers could change the download links for their ages through the ULM web interface. I added a mirror with the actual IP address for Prad so it should be downloadable again.

The GoMa domain name should be up and running again on Monday (first working day). Apologies once again -- and we are working to make sure this problem isn't repeated.

Gotta love the irony of the Maintainers losing control of their domain.
