Thanks for the box.net account info, Jennifer!

To try and get a sense of where the project stands, I made a GoW Wiki article on the age. On it, I started a chart of all the known components of the age, loosely based on the concepts present in the box.net account. When you have a moment, could you look it over and tell me what's missing?

Also, I know you were working on the Pavilion model, along with some other models as well. Could you upload those to the box.net account?

And can you add me as a member of the ERC Team? I plan on creating the terrain skin with a sky dome and making that available as the master blend file (and for a starter age that people can download and explore). I'd be happy to incorporate other items into the master blender file as they become available. I also plan on putting a sticky topic in this forum that has a link to the Wiki article, so that people can quickly find out where this age stands.

Some other questions for you:

- What do the little unmarked squares on the map represent?
- Which bridge on the map is the cherry blossom bridge, and which is the "stair to moon" bridge?
- Where can I find a layout of the proposed flora/fauna on the map?
- Where is the latest layout sketch of the ERC building?
- What was finally decided as to the name of this age?
- What color is the sun/sky?
- How long is a day on this planet: less than, equal to, or more than an Earth day?
Can we rebuild it? Yes, we can - here's how.

- What do the little unmarked squares on the map represent?

They are potential locations for items of art or statuary. Merely possibilities, of course.

- Which bridge on the map is the cherry blossom bridge, and which is the "stair to moon" bridge?

The Cherry Blossom bridge looks like the bridge below:
http://www.cherryblossomgardens.com/product.php?id=222
http://forum.guildofwriters.com/viewtopic.php?f=76&t=2094
Note that if you want to use this bridge in the game, it will have to be modified so as to no longer exactly resemble the Cherry Blossom Gardens people's copyrighted bridge. The model of this bridge came about as a miscommunication; the picture of the bridge that is linked to was provided to the modeler as a guideline to help them interpret a piece of concept art, but because of the mix up they modeled the guideline picture instead.
The concept art for the Stair to the Moon bridge can be found here: http://forum.guildofwriters.com/viewtopic.php?f=76&t=2094#p22582 A screenshot of it is here: http://forum.guildofwriters.com/viewtopic.php?f=76&t=1223&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=160#p22703

- Where can I find a layout of the proposed flora/fauna on the map?

Hmm...Are you looking for the individual plant/animal drawings...?

- Where is the latest layout sketch of the ERC building?

This is the basic layout:
http://forum.guildofwriters.com/viewtopic.php?f=76&t=1223&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=130#p19519
We were messing around with the roof and other features in the rest of the thread.

- What was finally decided as to the name of this age?

No decision has been made yet. See topic here for suggested possibilities:
http://forum.guildofwriters.com/viewtopic.php?f=76&t=1343&start=0

- What color is the sun/sky?

Green. See the far left hand side of the view here for the final color scheme of the Age: http://img231.imageshack.us/img231/2394/ercfinaliiuc7.jpg The sun...Don't know, but not yellow. White or a very light pink maybe? You'd have to experiment; we never discussed it.

- How long is a day on this planet: less than, equal to, or more than an Earth day?

We never decided on one.

Also, I know you were working on the Pavilion model, along with some other models as well. Could you upload those to the box.net account?

Yeah, I've got them on my USB stick. Give me a moment to get them uploaded on box.net.

Sure, will do. :) I can't promise that I'll be able to remember everything though, so you'll probably need to go through the old threads and read them. I'd guess that would take somewhere in the vicinity of two hours or less, but by then you'll have a thorough picture of everything that was discussed and worked on. :geek:

Jennifer, I have more time to contribute now- sorry for running off before  . I'll get the mangrove plants done this week, have the concepts changed? I'd also be happy to work on any other stuff- maybe architectural/hard surface things, because organics aren't proving to be my strong point so far.

Adding on to Robert's questions, is a day/night cycle planned?

That's good to know the background on the bridge models. What I'm curious about is where they go. There are 3 bridges indicated in the map. Any thoughts/preferences as to which bridge goes where?

Hmm...Are you looking for the individual plant/animal drawings...?

Actually, I was looking for more details on where the various plant/animal concepts would be placed. The map shows the location of the Medusa tree and the Tornado Cone, but I'd like to know where the other items (Mangrove trees, creatures, etc.) would be placed.

Humma, shouldn't mangroves be in a marshy area of sorts (which I can not immediately spot on the map)?

Perhaps one of the rivers delimiting the accessible part of the age could spread out into a delta to one side of the rectangular main bit, just before plunging down the shear cliff at the bottom of the map, as many many little rivulets..?
