Shell 232

One material (1 Mat 1).

I've deleted and re-set the floor texture several times now, without any joy. I'm sure there's something really simple I've missed - that's usually the way it works!

I'm making another attempt and barring disaster should find out how well it worked tomorrow afternoon when I boot into the Windows side to test it.

Well !@@! I still haven't got tiles.

Should I just beg for help, or try deleting the floor altogether and putting a new plane in?

If you want, pack the textures into the blend file (choose "File", then "External Data", then "Pack into Blend"), ZIP it and email it to me - I'll see if I can get them Bahro to behave. :D
Can we rebuild it? Yes, we can - here's how.

Thank you!

I've probably done a whole bunch of things all backwards, but that's how you learn, right? ;)

Thanks for the file, Katreeny.

It turns out the floor has a logic property called "ignorePPT". This tells the PyPRP plugin to avoid saving that object's texture in the PRP file during export. It's meant for those items in your shell that use common textures, like the walls, steps and floor. However, you of course have your own texture for the floor.

To fix this, just delete this property from your floor object. Export it again, and you'll see your texture:

Looking good!

Robert - THANK you! I've been going crazy over this!

According to the log the texture exported with the floor, so I'll find out when I boot into windows tomorrow if it worked - it looks great in your shot :)

Next step, work through the sittable tutorial and figure out how to turn the benches into sittable objects.

Out of curiosity, how bad was the load time on your machine?

It went down from 3 minutes to 40 seconds. Getting close!

It worked!

And I have sitting on one of the benches, although it isn't quite right. I need to adjust things so that I sit on the bench, not the very edge of it - and more to the point, so that I don't end up walking through the surface when I stand up ;)

Great work, Katreeny!

I didn't know you could go on the roof - gotta try that sometime.

Oh, yes, you can go up on the roof. That's what the invisible ladder is for :)
