a Huru question

Postby Lontahv » Sun Feb 10, 2008 11:46 am

Ok, I found this: http://lontahv.googlepages.com/Huru_02.avi video on an indexed dead website. Now, if you look carefully in that video you'll see one thing that PYPRP doesn't have; shadows. :) Now, does anyone know how they got those. Oh and also, would it be possible to get that maze that randomly makes new levels? 8-)
Currently getting some ink on my hands over at the Guild Of Ink-Makers (PyPRP2).

We just got shadows working in the unstable PyPRP version.
You can get it from the SVN for now.

really?

Really? Really?

Sorry, but Shadows are my nemisis. I need 'em. Hate trying to manually put them in. They never look quite right.

Nadnerb has his objects casting shadows as well.

Well, not through plasma. Currently, as far as I can tell, plasma isn't casting any shadows based on my inanimate objects... We've only had working shadows a matter of minutes though, so we'll see. :P

if you're referring to this, the avatar shadows are plasma's doing, but the rest is all pre-rendered in blender, and applied to the material as a lightmap.

THe Maze is one of the first ages with a puzzle in it made.

It was made by MercAngel.

It was made to run on UU so I don't know if it will run on CC properly.

I also don't know if anyone still has it for download, I would try a search for it using The Maze and Mercangel. :)

The Age shown in the video wasn't made with PyPRP. It was created before PyPRP existed with a custom plugin for 3DS Max.

It would be interesting enough if you could find the person, so that they can tell us how to get objects to move like those in this video
