He isn't misunderstanding, he's stating what Cyan does with the age python files. Every object that has a pythonFileMod essentially ends up with it's own instance of the entire uru python runtime. Nothing is shared between script instances, even though they may be getting their source from the same file. This is why in order to share information between objects, one must go through the SDL. The SDL is shared throughout an age instance, and can be read and written by any of the python scripts running within it, and hence, is the only way to pass data between objects.
