Sorry for the delay, I was gone for a couple of days. Well I tried removing ALL of the (< >) things and it still has the same error on the same line. Just to let you know the journal I am working on is named 'good_journal' I case this is an important thing. If you want to see my journal.py file here it is:

Code: Select all
Defgood_journal = '<font size=24 face=Uru color=221166><p align=left> This is just a test.'

And the GUI file:

Code: Select all

There must be more. The error is in the PageDefs file. Can you post that one too?

Edit: Nevermind, you posted it in a previous post and the error is not in BookPages but in AgeBooks, which is not terminated by a }

It is an irritating habit of the compiler to show the line that comes after the error.

NEWS FLASH!!!

I have realesed my age on the ULM (ulm.hbyte.net). But if you were to go there you would see an area that is still under construction. This is...........

The journal section. :cry: I tried out my journal and when I got into my age, the journal was HUGE. By huge I mean blown up in height. And it was clickable but the Python file wouldn't open the journal up. My Pythonfile entry is pointed at the GUI .py file and I know that is right. This is what my python GUI file is:

# bookPages:   Names in bookPages must be defined in the *YourAge*PageDefs file under      #
#              BookPages. An ageBook can have multiple bookPages as long as they are       #
#              enclosed together between the same square brackets.                         #
#              Please keep the nesting structure [square brackets] intact!                 #
#                                                                                          #
# If there are multiple books in an age the code will find the right one automagically.    #
# You can add as many books as you like. Just define them in the global variables ageBooks #
# and bookPages. The order is important here. The first book will be matched to the first  #
# page list, the second book to the second page list etc.                                  #

he he, you fell into the same trap I did, but worry its easy to fix.

Select your object in Blender that you have for the book
From the "Object menu" select "Clear/Apply" -> "Apply Scale/Rotation"

As for the journal not opening
Its probably something in the AlcScript, some thing simple like you added the .py extension in the script when you should have

Well the modeling is now correct and that works but still it doesn't open when I click. I DO get a hotspot when I click on the journal but it doesn't open.

Look for the error in the Python.0.elf file in your log folder. You will need an Elf viewer to open it.

And where can i get one of those? I tried searching for one and couldn't find it. The realriven URU Tweaks site has gone down. So I don't know where else to look. Clockwork Orange?
