This will have to add a global GUI, won't it? If yes, you somehow have to make sure that it does not interfere with anything else touching the global GUI files.
However, maybe this can even be done with the GUI being part of the age, only visible in that age. Then it would be cleanly separated from the actual "global" GUI, but could still be loaded whenever you link there so that it acts like a global GUI. Cyan never did this though, the Jalak GUI is global.

Well, so far I don't plan to code anything ;) (especially by myself: my 'coding skills' are limited to HTML 3.0..)
I'm just checking what's possible to properly lay out the gameplay in those Ages; and that part would be crucial. As long as it sound remotely possible that's fine with me, I'll take care of the actual implementation later. And by that time we might just have the source for the MOULa client. ;)

Yeah, changes to global things should be avoided whenever possible. An Age(s)-specific inventory GUI system would be far, far better. Uru already has too many global prps, and making different people's global changes consistent is difficult at best, impossible at worst.

This is kind of random... but we were talking about that black bar inventory thing... is there any possible way we could get the camera in Myst IV, that thing was sooo cool, and well I like my KI camera as much as I like my cell phone camera... not alot...
