My guess at your problem is that the primary sun light is not actually affecting relto in real time, but that it's effects are 'baked into' the island, and the only reason the RT light is there is to make your avatar appear the same. At this point what you would need to do is convert all the vertex colors on the meshes.

Ahhh, sounds like you're right. How would I go about doing that?
