Leaving Myst Online but not gone

Post by OnslaughtQ »

i have been absent for a while now because of general life events. I am also leaving Myst Online for the meantime, but still plan to concentrate on working on learning to develop ages and working on my assigned areas in Ahra Pahts. I just won't be as involved as I planned to be, at least until I hear more about Season 2. Also, Myst 3,4, and 5 are still looking at me waiting to be played all the way through.

Did you really go slowly, savoring each delicious tidbit when you started a Myst game for the first time?

I never have. It has always been like putting a plate of various chocolates in front of me. I loose all control. When i play Myst [for the first time] i just cannot wait to get to the top of the next hill -- what is over the hill? What lies in store?

Panting, i go through Myst -- partly due to the horrible speed of my charging gate; partly due to anticipation. In the end it is nice to think of having been in control, savoring each little bite, getting the absolute most out of every second. But for me, unhappily, all that has always been a fantasy.

Yet, it is nice to think of others being in control. But not me.

I remember when I first played Myst IV. Hehehe. It's acutally why I went out and bought a DVD Rom! Just so I could play it.

I actually got through it without any hints at all! But......it took me months to play it through.

I think the 2 most frustrating parts for me were:
