Anyone here REALLY good with InvisionFree?

Postby Nek'rahm » Sat Mar 08, 2008 3:20 pm

I plan on creating a forum... but I really want to know if ANYONE here has some free time and knows how to work both the Invisionfree sites and the Script Sheets.

If so, please post here or PM me, I'd really like to talk to you.

Hey Nek'rham,

Before I came back to the cavern at the end of 2007, I used to be the guild leader of The Marksmen Guild for about 9 months last year in Guild Wars, and we used InvisionFree for our forums. I won't say that I am an expert with it, but I know a lot about how to build a nice one and I still have most of the documentation that I collected that I found that taught me how to modify the forums. I can give that to you as well. Here are some links to my old guild sites if you would like to see my imaginative works. http://z4.invisionfree.com/themarksmenguild/index.php?act=idx, http://s3.invisionfree.com/The_Celestial_Arrows/.The first one is to the Marksmen Guild that I led, and the second one goes to the guild I created for myself after The Marksmen finally collasped in on itself, known as the Celestial Arrows of the Phoenix. I've also provided a few art samples of the banners that I created for both guilds. I've removed most of the pictures from the forums since I never use them anymore. I'd certainly like to help you out where I can.

Your fellow writer and explorer,
DaVinci.

I'm in. I'll start figuring out a color scheme and try to think of some banners. I'll use my old forums as a testing ground for the themes and banners before I apply them to the new forum. I like the idea you have there. Uniting all the guilds into one forum is a great idea.

It's meant to be a news station sorta like TCT

It'll have all Guild info in it, plus all the things going on with the Uru project. In case Cyan doesn't restart everything, the site would also be used to explain guild progress in our form of Uru Live.

Well, so far the color scheme I have come up with is kind of a foresty green, mixed with a clay like greyish-blue color. You can see it here. I was thinking of replacing the crystal tab for each forum on the left side with a book, cloth, or some other symbolic icon. I've only been working on the front page of the forum, so those are the only changes I have made so far. You can see the color scheme here. http://s3.invisionfree.com/The_Celestial_Arrows/

Let the background be an earth-brown. other than that, a softer green would be nice.

On a final note: I'd like the symbols to be (hopefully) books or Hand signs (Yeesha) or POSSIBLE POTS markers

They could refer to different things tho >> whatever

Nice job and thank you ^^

One last thing, Da.

I wrote a post in the "Site Management" section of the forum we're using.

Use that area to post on all new updates and links there. That way, this post isn't constantly bumped above more important Guild matters.
