Like I have explained in ealier posts, I am trying to download this file and NOT the ULM! Read al the posts properly.

I'd suggest you look at your firewall settings, it maybe that its blocking ULM.

Another idea is that I have noticed already that two Ages can't be downloaded because their files aren't there where ULM expects.

I understand you want the blend file, and with the link you provided, I right clicked on it, and said "save file as..." (or save link as, depending on what browser you use), and the blend file downloaded just fine. So it's not the file, link, or server.

I also went to the Wiki, to the tutorial, and the link works there fine as well.

The ULM is NOT for downloading Blend files. It is for downloading game Age, PRP, SDL, Pak, and Ogg files only. The ULM is for loading up an Age in Uru to play.
The file the tutorial offeres for for loading up in Blender to work on it. And it can only be downloaded with your web browser.

I will explain it one's more;
I don't want to download ULM, I have that already and I know what it is used for. I may be a little stupid but not that much .

The blend file I am trying to download takes me hours, it is only 1.5 Mb but the downloadspeed starts with 5 Kb and then slows down to a value < 1 Kb. Now that's the problem. My normal downloadspeed is about 300 Kb on other servers. If you guys read the posts more carefully then I did not have to explain this problem again.

What exactly are you trying to download, and where have you tried already? Your previous posts have all been a little lacking.

Okay, may be a language barrier here that is causing a misunderstanding Frits, but I do know that if you continue to insult people here by claiming that they are not reading the posts correctly, you'll pretty much be ignored, and nobody will help you.

The reason that everyone is pinging on the ULM is because YOU made it the topic post by calling it ULM.hbyte.com.

Now you did say you were trying to download a file from the First Real Age tutorial, and that cleared it up for some. Nobody was telling you to download the ULM. They thought you were USING the ULM to download something. Again, I can't stress enough that you should NOT be going around telling people that they do not read posts properly. They obviously simply mis-understood you.

Now, as to your problem.

For some reason the server where hbyte.net is located is acting very, very slow. I don't understand why it is doing that. Trylon hosts there and also said he doesn't understand what is going on, but will try to find out what is going on. It's not just the blend file that you are trying to download, it's also affecting people using the ULM to download Ages too.

I was not able to download the file either. It freezes up after 20%, and before that it was very slow. I'll PM Trylon and ask if he can post that file else where so you can download it. Have patients as he is VERY busy at the moment.

We have mostly the same thing that is on the ulm.hbyte.net address, with the exception of only a few things. I do know that our database loads faster than the hbyte one for some reason.

Why do they have different things? That just seems confusing, will they have the same stuff at some point? It would be nice for ages to all have one database.

Thanks gaborm, but after a couple of tries I managed to download the file. It took me 20 minutes though for the download.
