I am a bit of a texture hound so I am dying to know where you got your textures :D

your work continues to amaze me beyond words, it is extremely reminiscent of the core Myst games

Your work does show that its the artist, not the engine that can truely make a game visually great.

 Thanks, Kierra.

So far your only the second person to figure it out, and the first on the GoW forums. Gondar was the first. :D I'm glad there are a few people who get it since it's a bit of an obscure reference.

(sorry to hijack your thread a bit De'ux, but must discuss the awesomeness that is reboot :D )

Oh yes, I'm a huge Reboot fan. I have all 3 seasons on my computer plus season 4, the season that I pretend doesn't exist :D

Some of my test Ages I started with had a few Reboot items kicking around just for the fun of it. (Reboot Icon, A picture of the season 3 poster)

I even had a sig that was somewhat similar to yours once. Before I was a Writer I came up with an explorer version. Had it on the MOUL forum for awhile, but I can't remember what it was now.

There's at least one Cyanite that is a Reboot fan as well. I'm not completely sure, but I think it was Graydragon. It was a long time ago though so don't quote me on that.

I still go back and watch my favorite episode every now and then, "Talent night" Megabyte was so awesome in that ep.

I even named my old laptop "Hexadecimal" because it was so unpredictable and unstable.

Reboot was one of my favorite shows as a kid. It probably contributed to my eventual venture into the 3D industry. But it was only recently that I found out that there was a season 3. And I think it's the best season ever! :D I still carry episodes around on my ipod. Btw, Kierra, enjoy those DVDs, they're hard to find and expensive when you do.

When I went to update mu signature because my ki number no longer existed, that "My designation, I have no designation." line kept popping into my head. Then I realized the similarity of the situation.

Here's to all obscure cult followings that make life fun. Uru and Reboot included.

[END HIJACKING OF THREAD]

Sorry D'uex, but I've been waiting for like two weeks for someone to get it. No hard feelings I hope.

Anyway, as I was saying before, I do think that your mastery of texturing and lighting is something I would like to see passed on to others. Even if you don't feel comfortable (or just don't have the time,) it might be worth putting a few pointers into the tips section. :)

Now I know what the proposed 'Off-Topic' section of the forum is for ;)
I don't actually mind thread hijacking, and tbh it's a fairly open and evolving thread anyway, so no worries. I remember Reboot, but I think I was probably working at the time, so never got to watch it sadly.
