Writers at Mysterium 2008?

A lot of these details are up in the air. I just wanted to plant the seed in people's minds until a formal process is in place. If y'all have some really cool idea, I suspect we'll do what we can to reasonably accomidate what it needs. But I expect it will be a collaborative planning effort

I will be at the con. I'm certainly not the person to do a Blender demo, since my total Blender experience is making a chair several months ago, but I'll show up at any GoW event and wave.

I've been asked to let you know that if someone wants to do a GoW presentation, they must register before the end of the week.
If there is someone going who doesn't want to put on a entire presentation themselves, we could fairly easily put together some videos showing the fan Ages with some audio voiceovers.

I'm going to be attending Mysterium this year, at least thats the plan. So, at least one writer will be in attendance, and I'd love to help out.

Given the current hush-hush climate of age creation over at MO:UL, I was wondering whether it was OK to have such a demonstration at Mysterium. So, I composed the following message to the Cyan legal team:

To the legal team at Cyan Worlds:

Members of the Mysterium 2008 committee have requested a demonstration on age creation by members of the Guild of Writers. Before we commit to this, we would like to coordinate with you first.

Specifically, the planned presentation will have two parts:

- Creating a new age: within Blender, creating terrain, spawn point, collision, lights, fauna; exporting the age with the PyPRP plugin; using ULM to add the age to the player's Relto in Uru: Complete Chronicles; running Uru:CC and walking through the new age.

- Fan-Created Age Review: selecting some of the best ages available via ULM, and visiting each one in Uru:CC.

Please let us know whether such a presentation is acceptable.
