GIMP question

Postby Nynaveve » Tue Jun 10, 2008 12:41 pm

Hi all --

I have a question regarding GIMP. I just downloaded it today to see if it might be more useful to me for .psd files than the current program I'm using. I have a very basic question and I'm having trouble locating an answer to it in the Help files.

Can the windows be docked together or am I forever stuck with separate windows? That's a bit irritating to me. At the very least, can I "lock" their layout, so each time I open the program they return to the same places I had them before?

Thanks,

You can either minimize them to the lower task bar, or do like I used to and close them and use the hotkeys to open and close them as needed.

I myself don't use Gimp anymore. I use paint.NET instead. Don't know offhand if it will do .psd files though.
