Indeed. an IRC channel is easy to set up, and if you put up a link to mibbit, easy for anyone to access. That maintainer chat requires java, requires a login procedure, and seems to take a while to join the channel. But then, I'm not in on these chats anyway, so what do I care? If it were up to me, you'd all meet up on a special CyanChat server.

Kidding. Actually, I recommended an IRC room in the first place, but the GoMa chat seemed easier for everyone. I don't trust it because we've had several issues with it in the past and it lacks the ability to log. But whatever. Its still there and seemed to get the job done this time around. Maybe I should spend some time researching the alternatives....
